My name is Atticus Jackson. I am a student attending Ithaca College majoring in Writing for Film, TV and Emerging Media, minors in Art and Anthropology. But as I am approaching the end of my college journey I’m starting to realize that that stuff doesn’t matter. What matters is my work, my goals and my ambition. So I am Atticus Jackson, I am a lot of things: a student, a writer, a futurist, an artist, a watcher, a storyteller, a world-builder, but mostly I am a creative person. To get detailed in the realm of my personal creativity: I specialize in organizational worldbuilding — creating histories, maps, landscapes, cultures and stories that frame the outline of a project. My intention is to enter the video game industry as a writer and artist, using my specific talents to aid the authenticity of fictional worlds and stories. As for my other talents, I am an artist with a background in map making and concept art. Being a writer and thinker first allows me to energize my mapping and works with layers of thoughtful lore. I am also a designer in many senses of the word. I can design graphics, logos and other elements. As well as the organizational design required during early game development; writing the systems that allow a game to function. I’m hoping to hone these skills to an extreme degree and work on some amazing projects as I build my career in gaming.Thank you.
Video Game and Emerging Media writing has become my main focus for the past 2 years. I went into my current college program, writing for film, TV and emerging media, expecting to come out of it as screenwriter through and through. But I realized that I enjoy game writing much more because of its inherent holisticness and heavy use of worldbuilding (depending on the game type). I like to say that I am a worldbuilder more than I am storyteller or writer; my truest passion is for the organization and creation of fictional worlds, mapmaking, history, lore. These qualities are baked into the very nature of many games and emerging media projects. In these concept project examples, you will see my use of art, design, screenwriting and technical design skills to push my vision forward.
My Projects:- The Tale of Tanuki -- Full Design Document- Action Animalia -- Pitch Design Document- The Zoonomic -- Twine Text Game
The Tale of Tanuki
The Tale of Tanuki is an Action-Adventure RPG about a young tanuki’s quest to retrieve his severed tail. This Tale is inspired by the off-centered, gritty style of the film Rango, as well as other anthropomorphic animal stories such as the Kung Fu Panda series. This game will feature an expansive feudal East-Asian-akin open world, frothing with animalian samurai, scenic tragedy and a depth of warful history. As well, the gameplay will be a mixy marriage of traditional fast-paced platformers and common world-based RPGs – action, comedy, storytelling and beastly worldbuilding all rolled into one. This game concept is a full 130 page design document with sections on gameplay design, controls, UI, the entire story and full worldbuidling outlines. To read the full pitch document for this game please contact me at [email protected] or on LinkedIn. Thank you.

Action Animalia
Action Animalia is a very simple and pointed 2D Platform Fighting Game with a background of educational and scientific real-world taxonomy. A marriage of the fantastical IP-driven nature of Super Smash Bros Ultimate and the plethora of engaging studies within realms of zoology, ethology and ecology. This is a pitch document containing detailed accounts of the gameplay, controls, character options and other mechanics.

The Zoonomic
The Zoonomic is both an experiment on using Twine to convey a richness in gaming storytelling, as well as the beginning to a much larger in-development project. The Zoonomic twine game is essentially a very small clip of a worldbuilding exercise that I've been hoping to work more on. The full project would be a VR horror game where you play as a young survivor in a world dominated by the Zoonomic: eldritch cryptid beasts that come in all types of sickening forms. Throughout the journey, you will learn the stories of the harrowing century since the coming of the Zoonomic apocalypse, and in some ways hope to redeem humanity from its grip. But before that redemption, you must face the frights and temptations that enmesh this cursed Earth.
And more concepts in the works.
Writing has been the centerpiece of my creative life for as long as I remember. I’ve always known that I would end up in a field which involved writing in some way, shape or form; I love it, it is one of my truest passions that I’ve tried to sculpt for much of my conscious life. I am currently attending college majoring in Writing for Film, TV and Emerging Media, and although the EM writing is what is taking my full interest at this point, I have not lost the other avenues that writing as an art can and has taken me on. I have written full screenplays, shorts, novellas and creative short stories throughout the past few years. Here are some writing examples of mine.
My Projects:Screenwriting

Long Form Scripting
FuturityPunkFuturityPunk is a full screenplay that I wrote over the summer of 2024. Longline: 'A high-school senior panics at the overwhelming, soon-to-come threat of college, only to get trapped within the plots of various futures, pasts, and alternate realities.' If you would like to view this work please email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn. Thank you!
The Zoo of 2052The Zoo of 2025 is the first act of a full length screenplay that I wrote in the Fall of 2024. Logline: 'As humans prepare to leave a polluted and decrepit Earth, a greedy oilman is faced with the decision to preserve some part of the natural world by creating a Noah’s Ark in space.'
"Pizza" The Bear Spec ScriptI wrote this spec script for a TV writing class in the spring of 2025. It would theoretically take place before the last episode of season 1 of FX's The Bear. The story follows Carmy in a full flashback episode in the day of his life in NYC, working for the prestigious Eleven Madison Park.
Short Form Scripting
Mors AvisMors Avis is a short script which I am currently working on adapting into a graphic comic. The story follows the perspective of Mors, one of many grim reapers, who witnesses an error in fate and begins to learn about the true meaning of both death and life.
GalaxymanGalaxman is another short script that I want to transform into a comic at some point. It is the story of a lonely, god-like being who resides on a moon in the vastness of space. He is visited by an astronaut and the two become close friends as Galaxyman helps repair the astronauts ship.
Creative Short Stories
Published by Buzzsaw Magazine
All of these short stories are only 1 page long, but contain a snapshot of a much more thoroughly built world that could be taken even farther. The Zoonomic Apocalypse is one that I would love to expand on more. The same goes for The Shark and the Woods.
Artwork & Design
Like writing, visual arts has been an important part of my creative passion for my entire life. I think about things in an extremely visual way; I process structures and systems with visual models in my head, and I know that has heavily influenced my direction as a creative. Everything is visual to me, so visual arts has become another forefront avenue of my creativity. I try to insert my visual language, whether that be traditional artwork, cartooning or more recently my dive into graphic design, into every project that I work on.You will see much of my artwork shown throughout this website as well as in all of my design documents or other materials.
My Gallery Includes:Traditional Artwork; examples from past series.Example Cartooning for the Ithacan Newspaper.
